This is the intro for my 2013 showreel. Simulations were done in Realflow, meshing was done using Thinkbox Frost, shading, lighting and rendering was done using 3DS Max/Vray and compositing in After Effects. The particles were accomplished using both Trapcode particular and also mixed with live action footage of flour particles being blown around. A breakdown follows.
The simulation particle count reaches 10 million and the simulation time was about 16 hours.
