I'm glad to reunite with my colleagues and design heroes at Bigstar once again for an exciting project, the House of the Dragon season 2 announcement. It seemed to thoroughly excite fans (including a devout family member) and I was beyond honored to contribute.

The project called for one of my specialties - fire. Reaching beyond the typical simulation, this project needed full frame hero fire at 4k
resolution. This is a challenge due to voxel resolution, ram limitations, and render times. The tech team at Bigstar was ready and willing to support this project with the required compute power and disk space. We built a simulation that utilized all available resources, followed by a 4k fire render computed locally on their robust render farm.
